Jaballa Kalahari
Jaballa Arabians was established in 1996 by Jenny Cummings and partner Brett Allan.  Admiring the purebred stallion Amazing Sachaar (Simeon Sa'ar x Bint Ahsaba) - 1989 Australian National Champion Stallion, we purchased the 2 year old grandaughter Devenward Samsara out of the 1992 Australian National Champion Junior Filly (and twice Top Ten Mare) Devenward Arcadia (Amazing Sachaar x Arcana) and a daughter Bellevieve Sahara that we showed sparingly before we put her into foal. We were to go our seperate ways in 2000 and it was Brett's compassion and generosity that allowed me to continue on with our fledging stud.

One of the last things we did together as a couple was to take our two broodmares to stud to be bred to Akid Geshan (imp/exp USA),..... the result of which was the 2 fillies shown above.

Since then, the stud relocated to Mutdapilly, Qld to a 91 acre property I owned in conjuction with my parents Don and Janet Cummings.  We were to stay there for 5 years and during that time bred another 5 foals. Amongst them was our first straight egyptian, a filly by Alshinfarrah (PVA Sonbali [imp USA] x Dafiinahh [imp USA]) and out of Geisha Moniet (Akid Geshan [imp/exp USA] x Shahlana Moniet). The filly was named Jaballa Kalila and she is now poised to begin her breeding career for the stud. Visit 'Lily' on the mare page. This breeding was only made possible by the generosity of Rick Cummins from Westbank Arabians, NSW.  Rick kindly leased Geisha Moniet to us.

In August 2008 the stud began a new phase when it was decided to sell the farm as my parents were retiring and relocating to Charters Towers in Qld.  My partner Phil Bowden and I purchased a 20 acre, former Arabian Stud in Kalbar, Qld.  This property was previously owned by Sylvia Archer and is the former home of Dunwingeri Arabians.

These days most of the work with the horses is done by myself and my partner Phil Bowden, but my parents Janet and Don Cummings still help out when required on their visits back to Brisbane.

The studs bloodlines are mainly El Shaklan through the influence of his son Simeon Sa'ar and Egyptian bloodlines through Ruminaja Ali, Nabiel through his son Akid Geshan, Ibn Moniet El Nefous and Raadin Royalstar.

Our farm is situated at Kalbar about 1.5 hours southwest of Brisbane, 1 3/4 hours southeast of Toowoomba and 45 mins northeast of Warwick.
